High Cholesterol at Whataburger
Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. The friendliest service imaginable for a fast food restaurant. Food was fresh and delicious. I had a grilled chicken sandwich, and my husband had a fried chicken sandwich. Both equally as good.

I've been here a few times because it has a convenient location, but AWFUL service. Every time I walk in, there are no less than 7 people behind the counter...yes, unfortunately,I had the time to count. Despite all of these employees including a manager in a white shirt, no one knew who should take my order. I watched them talk about who should take my order before the manager told someone to do it. Everyone else stood around talking about who knows what. Once someone managed to take my order (which was like a combo meal--simplest thing ever), I had the joyous experience of watching multiple guys behind the grill talk about who would cook my food and how to make it. Seriously, how to put meat on the grill. I was literally the only customer in the restaurant and no one was in the drive through. 10 minutes later, I got my food. It's tasty, and I love Whataburger, but I'd rather have it without a side of dumb-employee conversations.

Just another overpriced burger joint. Burgers were cold and dry. Spicy ketchup is good. Service was nice however some napkins would of been appriciated since I used the drivethrough! Not very impressed with the food.
(2)Lynette F.
Waited exactly 10:02 minutes for my food in the drive thru. Definitely needs to be quicker than that!

This location needs to get their act together. 50% of the time I come in this location they are out of tea. I didn't know it was rocket science to keep ice tea on the counter. Damn joke.

They've gotten rid of free wifi. At least it will force me to find somewhere else to eat. Maybe something more healthy & with wifi.

Don't do it!!!! I can sniff out whataburger anywhere and it's up there with one of my favorite burger joints. Please keep in mind that most whataburgers are individually owned and operated meaning they are franchised which also means they can charge you what ever they want. Well my good friends, this little gem off the side of the freeway has to be the most expensive whataburger in the country! $9.00 for a #5 combo?!?! Really? Son of a biscuit eater! Come on guys don't get carried away! Even the girl behind the counter told me not to buy there cuz it was so expensive. I'll wait until El Paso for my fix.

It's hard to put into words how many times this place has saved my life. Even though it's fast food, to me it stands out from the rest because of a couple of key details: Open 24hrs. They serve orange soda. The chicken strip meal comes with toast and gravy. So so good. I can only speak for the ones here but like most businesses here, you can add chili or jalapeños to your burger. Okay so it's not drastically different from other fast food places. But it's a good solid after hours place and if you're into fast food you're prob going to like it. It's no In N Out but it has a certain something. They serve their burgers with a lot of chopped onions and I would never get one without cheese. Other than that I have to recommend the chicken strips with the gravy! It sounds strange, but it's a delight.

Oh my word!!!! Where do I start? Thank god I came here with my mom cause I would still be in the bathroom "drip drying" my mom had to bring a roll of toilet paper, then I order a sweet tea and guess the girls forgot the sugar in the SWEET TEA... posting this review while I watch the girl walk all around the lobby with our food... #48 sitting right here helloooo right here... BINGO! Finally get to eat... What an experience!

Decent food if you're hungry in the middle of the night. Just don't expect fast service, especially at the drive thru.

So I kept seeing this place and had to try it. Nothing special. I was avoiding eating Fast Food on this trip but decided to go for ones I never heard of. The Sweet Tea was refreshing but the burger was just alright. They are, however, the only place I've seen with Wheat Buns, so that gives them a few props!

So I don't get Whataburgers in San Diego, and I pretty much don't eat there anyway. Mainly I am writing this for their Diabetes-In-A-Cup. Just like the Europeans call a Quarter-Pounder with cheese a Royal with cheese, Whataburger calls these Mammoth Marvels of Diabetes Millitus simply by the more common term: "shake". I see commercials for there food all the time, bet let me be the first to inform you (as if you probably could already guess) this place is definitely not Herbivore Friendly. Ironically enough one of their sayings is, "since 1950: There's one near YOU" - living in San Diego all my life, i never managed to cross paths with one. Their food is simple, from what I hear, but all I am interesting in is a 32oz MEDIUM milkshake - hence "Diabetes in a Cup". Recommendation: a 20oz SMALL chocolate shake, have your insulin ready (remember a Venti at Starbucks is 20oz and that's their largest size). Simple and dangerous, delicious, pace yourself.
